The choir currently consists of about 40 singers, coming from different countries, which simplifies the learning of songs in the original language!
We are of all ages, and simply enjoy singing together.

Our rehearsals take place once a week, except during school holidays.
There is a relaxed, friendly atmosphere; nevertheless, a great deal of emphasis is placed on musical and interpretive content.

We give one or two major concerts every year. Most of the performances are made up of musicians who accompany us which enriches the program.

Every year we take a weekend choir trip, where intensive rehearsals take place, but where there is also time to explore the surroundings, to talk to each other, etc.
In recent years we have been to Blossin, southeast of Berlin.

A summer festival and a long rehearsal Saturday is one of the extras carried out annually.

The members have taken over the organization of the choir themselves since summer 2018. Members take care of the different areas of choral life, partly alternately, by mutual agreement.

Sady Augsburger studied art education (Brazil),

as a pianist and conductor since 2009.
He also leads the choir Mamas & Papas.

Choral history

1998  a choran of the Volkshochschule Steglitz was created, and conducted by Martha Carrizo Raphelt, an Argentine former opera singer who retired in 2008. Special events included:
"Missa Criolla" by Ariel Ramirez was performed repeatedly by the choir, among others in Berlins famous Memorial Church.

In the spring of 2009 Sady Augsburger took over the direction of the International Choir and the few "old" members rejoined and progressed with a new orientation; the choir now deals with a vast repertoire of songs from many different countries.
Singing is performed exclusively in the original language.
